A/C cold but its humid and sticky at night

Ok we went on our first camping trip this weekend in Palmetto State Park near Gonzales Texas. I had installed a brand new coleman Mach 3 a/c on our 2001 jayco 8u cause it didnt come with one. Seemed to cool great but it felt a little humid and sticky at night. Anybody have this problem before? I ran it on low cool cause my wife was freezing yet she said she still felt sticky and humid. Thought about adding a Dehumidifier see if that would help....First night fog did roll in but second night was pretty clear. Any suggestion I'd appreciate it.

Is the AC drain working properly? This could cause a humid problem. (Past Experience on another TT, drain was clogged)

seens to be got plenty of condensation running off the top of the camper,,,,nothing dripping inside.

Hate to tell the Mrs, but you need to run the fan on high and the adjust the temp control as best you can. It's probably freezing up at night when on low.

I checked its not freezing up and its cycling on and off like it should according to where you set the thermostat. Guess I should have mentioned that also. I read on some other forums that the Gizmos help with this and also a dehumidifier works well. Think I will try this next time we go and see if it makes a difference.

Probably oversized the unit. If the unit is too large for the area it will pull temperature quickly and the humidity will remain in the air causing the space to feel clammy. The moron contractor that built my house put a way oversized A/C unit on the house and I had the same problem the first summer. I forced him to remove it and install a smaller unit and have been enjoying cool dehumidified air every summer since then.

Be sure to have all our open holes closed up when running the A/C... No window flaps open etc... The tent fabric is thin enough as it is.

My Air Conditioner is the 13,500 BTU model...

I have 9X12 tarps on my two tent beds ends. Poor man GIZMO's... This problable helps me with humidity. Some humid nights outside I do get anthing that is metal inside the POPUP dripping water. I always have a O2COOL 10-inch fan running inside my POPUP...
