does battery recharge from TV with 4-wire?

I have a 4-wire hookup from TV to my Jayco 1006. Will this setup recharge the battery when TV is running? Or does that require a 7-wire setup. I've been under the impression that I was recharging my battery during the trip to the campground, but with that setup, maybe not.

Reason I ask is recently we camped in cool rainy cloudy conditions off-grid and the battery ran out pretty quickly; I hooked it up and ran the car for 1/2 hour but still nothing. Makes me think I'm also not recharging on the way there like I thought I was.

No, 4 prong plug - 1 ground, 1 clearance lights, 1 left blinker/brake, 1 right blinker/brake.
The 4 prong plug will not operate your trailer brakes either.

It does not appear that a +12VDC BATTERY lead is available using the 4-way trailer connections.

This is a pictorial drawing showing showing a typical 4-way trailer wiring...

All of the 4-way wiring provided only has +12VDC battery voltage available from the truck when trailer lights and turn signal actions are being accomplished. In order to use the truck charging system a +12VDC truck battery connection must be presented to the 4-way trailer wiring configuration.

ETRAILER.COM has all of this information for you to read...

Even using the 7 pin is a poor way to recharge your batteries. the wire is just not large enough. Use booster cables..

You can wire it to charge the battery. You need a thing to stop from back feeding from the battery though. We have my friends Motorcycle camper wired this way and it does charge the battery quite well.

Charging from my pickup to the camper actually works quite well. When I get to where I'm going the thing is fully charged even if I let it down. Think about chargers. They don't have large gauge wires yet charge a battery well.
