Question Front king bed support bar placement

We recently purchased a "new to us" 1995 Jayco Jay series Pop-up. We have not been able to get any help from the people we bought it from. Just curious if someone could snap a picture of the king bed support bar system to see if we have it right. We have found ourselves with some extra bars and want to make sure there is not something we are missing.
Thanks!

Welcome to JOF

I'm sure some of the JOF Pop-Up owners will chime in with some insight shortly.

I'm not sure if that part diagram is for a king bed. My king bed has the parts numbered (3) in the diagram, but also some that are bent 60 degrees that hook onto the front of the camper and the tongue of the trailer that the bed slides across.

You should have 2 straight bars and 2 curved bars.
The curved bars hook on the front of the trailer, and the straight ones hook on the tongue and the bed (once it's pulled out).

What Platinum said. That is how my king bed is supported, the 60 degree bend attach to the top of the box and the frame under the box. The two straight bars with pinched shut ends support the outer most part of the bunk. There are two brackets mounted to the underside of the bunk, one right and one left. Then you will find a couple similar brackets on the tongue, in the "V" section of the bunk. The poles are to be inserted in theos brackets.

I find it easiest to mount the pole in the tongue first, then you will need to lift the bunk with your shoulder or back to insert the other end of the pole into the underside of the bunk bracket.

Two left over bars

We have these two left over bars and have no idea how or where they go although guessing they're bed supports somehow. Thanks for any help.

Jayco

We have a 1995 Jayco 1206. I tried putting them slots and clipping them to the other four supports but they just don’t fit anything. They’re too short, wrong angle, have those little half circle things on one end, all of the bed supports are accounted for. Two on the queen end and four on the king end.

maybe you simply have two extras? especially for the fact you have the other supports accounted for. My trailer only uses two ridgid supports and two angled slide rails supports for each end...

Could they be for a manual awning?? Ours wrapped up in the awning that zipped shut. But someone may have decided that was a better place to store them or spares. If they are they will have some kind of extension method. I had a 1206 way back but did not have anything like them ( I think, but hey my memory is shot, LOL )

Interesting, I was just out walking and a neighbor has a vintage pup setup in the driveway. I am pretty sure these two extra bars are supports for the front lift posts. He had a pair on his that looked very similar to this.

Do you have round tube lift posts? His did and these ran from about half-way down the post to the front corner of the box, forming a triangular support. Not for the bed at all.

Hope that helps!

Hi guys!
I just bought a 1995 jayco 1206 myself. For the extra supports...when you remove the stove and put it on the outside of the camper do the supports fit under it?? I'm missing my exterior stove supports and will take one if you got an extra

They’re Stove Supports

We found out they’re for the stove to be supported outside on the wall of the camper. We threw out the stove as we didn’t want the issue with propane and added weight so won’t need the supports.

Thanks guys for all of your help.
