Lets see those coolers!

Ok...if you've got past the corny title and you're still reading...

Our 00' J8 has a vertical 'cooler' built into it. But by looking inside it, it seems to be missing something. It has a 2 in. deep tray for ice just above the bottom of the cooler and a drain tube that goes through the floor to the underside of the camper. It has what appears to be slots for addtional shelves, but it didn't come with any (except the ice tray). The door doesn't close/seal well and some adjustments need to be made.

Are there any other J8/10 owners that have one of these...and maybe have a good pic (or two) of it (particularly the inside)?

I have a j8 and the only tray there is the one for the ice. hmm maybe i thought I got the whole deal but anyways I dont use mine for a frig what Ive done is use it as a cupboard to store coffee, spices, oil etc. just like at home...

I ended up doing the same. I made shelves out of leftover wood I had from a cabinet door project in my home. I cut them to fit, added some trim to keep the stuff from falling out, a little stain for color and presto- cooler turned cupboard!
