New, looking for advice! Older Pop-up

I apologize if I ask things that have been asked before! I tried searching and really just ended up all over the place!

My husband and I bought a 2006 Jayco Jay 1006 last week and are prepping to leave for our first camping trip on Wednesday. We got a smokin' deal on a very clean unit needing only a few very minor repairs.

The curtains that close up for privacy on the queen bunk are broken on three or four of the sliding hooks that are attached to the roof. I have had no luck with jayco its self to try and replace them. They are white and plastic and I had hoped that Jayco offered something more durable now, like aluminum to make them last.

We have a 15 month old toddler who has figured out how to open the door, is there a way to childproof the door? Our child gate is too wide and it is the most narrow one in our local store! Also has anyone figured out a way to install a flat screen TV without damaging the inside of the trailer?

And lastly-- what would you all recommend as must have accessories for this type of pop up?

Welcome to the forum; sorry can't help you on the other questions, but re: accessories, I would definitely recommend a front canopy. Jayco makes one that came with ours, works very well for rain or as shade, there are probably any number of aftermarket options available as well. Also check out the popup gizmos (google search), I don't have them but they look like a great option for extending your camping season in the cooler months and people say the work well.
