One last question regarding fresh water intake

Hi. 1992 Jayco 1006 pop up. My camper has city water connection. If I were to use that connection, do I leave the water source valve in the open position, meaning water pressure is always entering my camper through the city water hook up? In which case, is it the kitchen handle/lever that determines on and off? Handle lever up allows water to enter? Handle lever down stops the water from entering? Thanks for your patience. And answers.

Yes, this should be the case. And as a side note, its wise not to leave your city water turned on if you leave the campsite or aren't going to be around camper for a while. If your campers water lines decided to leak and you were not around to shut things down, flooded camper time.

Might also add to @Screwby's response that you should probably have a pressure regulator as well. Many campgrounds have very high pressure at some sites, enough to blow apart any connections inside the pup. Cheap insurance to keep things safe and dry.

Lots of options on Amazon; this one is as simple and inexpensive as they get:
