I purchased the all thread 1/2" from home depot and the crossbar at top from an rv dealer.

You can buy it as a kit on Amazon ($33) or from pretty much any other parts source, although build your own might be less expensive. I secured mine with a couple of self tapping metal screws.

ETA: my kit also had a bracket to mount the new 2-port regulator (not included) onto the threaded rod, although that bracket does not appear to be included on any of the ones I see on Amazon.

I ordered one, hoping that base plate fits within the rails.

Screw the base on top of the chasis. More support. Not the pic I was looking for but you get the point

I understand the end result. the kit comes with 3 parts. cross bar, threaded bar and a base plate. I am assuming the base plate fits within the cross rails on the trailer tongue? another question, I see you have a tank cover. is it easy to access for refilling? I am not going to put a dual regulator on as I have an external bbq to use along side the low pressure stove. thanks!

Cant answer if the plate fits inside your frame. Depends on how far back your existing supports are. You can get a rough idea by measuring two tank bases and adding an inch on each side. Mine was on top but that pup was a high side so it didn't interfere with the bed pull out. You would need to measure the height of the tank on the frame to see if the bed clears

In order to refill your tanks you need to bring them to the scale, so the cover and the tanks come off. Just release the strap underneath and slip the cover off like a red dress. There is a door on top to access the regulator and check gauges.

Mine dropped right between the angle-iron rails.
