Rear lights don't work

When I hook up to the TV, the front running lights on the Popup work fine.
The 2 rear lights (Brake, directional), nor the small running lights all don't work. They don't work when lights are on (and should stay constantly lit nor when the blinker, flasher are brakes are applied.
Found this out when connecting to a friends vehicle.
Since the worked a couple of months ago, I thought it was his wiring harness.
Hooked it to my TV and it wouldn't work either.
The Popup has a flat 4 pin connecter and both vehicles have built in connectors for that.

This is on a 2001 Jayco Eagle 14SO.

Thought it strange the front lights work and nothing on the back do.

Is there a fuse somewhere?

Any thoughts?

Possible ground wire issue, but that's a guess. I had a similar problem last month with my pup. Drilled a new hole in the trailer frame to insert a new small bolt and washer which I attached the ground (white insulation) wire to. Also drilled a new hole in TV frame for same purpose and attached the ground wire from the wiring harness to that. Then sanded the ground wire ends at the taillights (inside the plastic covers) of the camper. After doing all that, my brake lights (which weren't working when all other lights were on) worked fine. You're saying that SOME of your trailer lights are ok, so maybe my diagnosis is off. Worth a try though - won't cost anything but time.

Several years ago I had the same problem. Took it to an RV repair shop, they couldn't figure it out after replacing the plugs on the TV and TT. As usual I found the problem. The ground wire for the rear lights disappeared behind a small plate screwed to the rear bumper. I took the plate off and both the bumper and the plate were painted. The ground wire had about 1/2" of the insulation stripped off and was squeezed between the painted parts. This some how had worked for several years??? I put on a crimp on, on the wire and attached it with a sheet metal screw. Problem fixed. Always suspect a bad ground!!

Squirrels will chew wires and insulation.

It is ground. I took a wire and ground it out from the bumper to the ground on one of the lights and all the lights in the back lit up and started working.

But, I can't find out where the ground wire comes from so I can follow it to see where its disconnected.

Any ideas on where to find a wiring schematic?
The wire disappears into the popup skin and you can't tell where it goes.
