Replacing lift cable 1980 pop top

Hi all,
Newbie from Australia here. I've just recently purchased an early 80's pop top & the right front corner wouldn't lift up via the winch. I've manually lifted it up & supported all corners & found a broken cable attached to a plate with 3 other cables. Where does the other end of the cable go. Any illustrations or photo's would be greatly appreciated. Would Australian models differ at all?
