Replacing shower Jay series 1006

Hi! We just bought a 2007 Jayco Jay series 1006. The exterior shower plumbing or hardware is leaking into the galley cabinets, so we're looking to replace the whole kit (lock box, knobs, shower head, etc). The problem: it seems all the aftermarket options are small or larger than the space where the existing shower box is. I'm not too keen on cutting into the Pup's body to make the whole larger. Have any of you replaced the shower kit? Which product/brand did you use/where did you buy it? Any advice/info is much appreciated! I'm a sailor and former backpacker, but the pup world is all new to me! TIA!

Welcome to the forum. I can't help with your shower issue, but this forum is a wealth of information. Very likely someone has encountered something similar.

BTW, lots of us began with tents etc. Feel free to ask if you have questions.

If it were mine I would try to fix it first. Odds are it's only leaking at one location and that should be easier than a complete retro. If that fails call Jayco with your VIN# and see if they can help locate one for you . After all the unit is only 8-9 years old so those parts should still be fairly easy to locate. Try Southern Supply on Central Ave. I used to live in Sarasota it's a fantastic town and I think of it often.
