I have used a tube of clear tent seam sealer on small pinholes, before. The drips at the seam near the roof are somewhat common, as the rain will seep through the stitching, especially as the awning gets older. I can't give you a solution, if you're wanting to seal the whole surface, but for the pinholes, a tiny dab of seam sealer, let it dry completely.
