Smile Taking down

I have a 2001 Eagle 12mx. It has a slide out dinette. When taking down, do slide in my ends first, or the dinette slide first?

Slide in the dinette slide first then bed ends. Just make sure you don't catch the dinette canvas when sliding in the beds. Good luck and have fun.

As maromeo says, is the correct procedure, and here is why: there are brackets on the dinette wall that hold the bed rails up when the beds are slid in. Try to put the dinette in second and the rails will prevent you from getting the dinette in. Also as they say, slide the dinette in, then fluff the canvas back out so the rail doesn't snag on the canvas laying on the brackets.

Another consideration, that happens to me, is that the bed rail will slip off the bracket during travel. To resolve this I reach through the dinette canvas velcro area and lift it back onto the bracket before pulling the bed out. You know you have to do this when you can't get the $%#& bed out!

Finally, the brackets are screwed into flimsy paneling, so they may need to be relocated / reattached / realigned at some point. You'll know this is the case when you get tired of performing the rail lifting procedure.
