Just a side note for all.
I work in the automotive industry. This topic comes up regularly. The tire pressure listed on the side of a car or truck tire is not the recommended running pressure. The recommended pressure for each vehicle is listed on a sticker inside the drivers door. It is the press. that the manufacture of the vehicle recommends.

Batman, we're talking about trailer tires, not car/truck tires. For every Jayco I have owned (4, 2 PUPS and 2 hybrids) the manual says to run the tires at the PSI listed in the sidewall.

DocBrown Like I said, This is a side note for more information. Since everyone has a tow vehicle. Some people do get confused and apply what they have learned about their trailer and then apply it to their truck. Thanks for clarifying, I should have been more clear.

The sticker on the trailer also tells you the tire running pressure based on the OE tires. It is always max cold on the tire.
If you go to a higher rated tire just use the cold psi posted on the tire as stated.

The pressures listed on the door jam are not for towing. My Tundra says 32 psi front/rear but I put 45 psi when towing which is the max. rated pressures of the tires. Believe you me, if I towed my TT at 32 psi I would know it real quick.
