Tires: 06 Jayco Baja 10y

I am possibly buying my first pop up trailer next weekend. The tires that are currently on it are the original tires so before my first trip I want to replace the tires. I have been searching around and having no luck with finding info.

The tires are the Dunlop Mud Terrain 235/75/15's. These look to be not trailer specific tires and general truck style tires.

I think I want to put some all terrains on it but do I need trailer specific tires? Also if I use a truck/vehicle style tire should I look at a specific load range? IE: D or E?

The Jay Flight SLX Baja's have been coming with the Milestar Patagonia A/T which also appears to be a general purpose LT tire and not trailer-specific. I would think that you are fine to replace with another general purpose LT tire so long as it matches the load rating of the OEM Dunlop. It looks like the 2006 10Y had a GVWR of 4000lb which is 250lb more than my 195RB Baja. Don't see what the GAWR is but I suspect it may be 3500lb which is the same as my unit. I couldn't find any specs on that Dunlop size but the Milestar's are load range C rated to 1985lb@50psi. If the Dunlop is a load range C then there are a few other choices in addition to the Milestar:

Yokohama Geolander A/TS
Firestone Destination A/T
Hankook Dynapro AT-M
BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO/KO2

I actually picked up the trailer today. It's actually an 07. The seller was incorrect.

I will be replacing the tires. I want to get an all terrain and I am thinking the KO2's. I will check out the Milestar Patagonia A/T's also. Thanks.

Just remember that the all terrain tires on there are for LOOKS ONLY.. they have no real functionality. They do not steer or push the RV.

I understand but keeping with the stock size 235/75/15 (Dunlop Mud Terrains) I do not find any trailer specific tires.

Also AT's may work better if I take the trailer off-road to a spot. IE: the tread/lugs and catch/grab rocks etc.
