Total rookie question

On my pop up I have an tan outlet that has threads on the outside of it, is this the sink drain? There is also a connection toward the rear on the same side that I think is the city water connection....how do I fill my water tank..or drain it?

I would say you are correct with both questions. The tan one looks like the sink drain. I should be easy to tell by looking at where your sink drain hose goes on the inside. The other is the city water connection. There should be a fresh water fill port somewhere else on the trailer. Can you see the freshwater tank underneath? See if you can trace the lines. The fresh water fill should look like this:

Just a thought: Does your popup have a permanently mounted freshwater tank? Some smaller popups did not. They had portable 5 gallon jug that mounted in a cabinet below or near the sink.

My old pop up had a drain like that. I had a short hose that I put into a 5 gallon bucket. Emptied it in restroom.
If you are inexperienced attach a hose to the inlet one, turn on water low pressure, see if sink spigot works, then should drain out side.

If your unit is old check for leaks, also look under beds, etc. for a small plastic water tank. If you have one, partially fill it, there may be a drain under your rv body that is turned on so it will drain out. shut it off and test the pump. then drain the tank.

Now you will know how it all works! Ps can't pump from tank while on city water pressure.

Well that is a good question , I asked the person. I got it from if it had a jug or a tank and he said tank. So..I've been assuming. I'll have to go tank hunting.

Nice thing about a PU there small. I suspect your fw tank is under a bench set on the same side as your sink. Pull the cushions and explore the hidden compartments. Our old PU filled the tank like the picture WyEm shows above. However. I have heard about filling the tank from the inside. Another thing to look for is a small hose sticking out from under the PU, with a white valve on it. This is the fw tank low point drain. Mostlikely the tank is right above it.

Back with another rookie question

Well finally opened my camper a week ago, which was the first time since I bought it. So here continues my rookieness. I think the small rectangular hole should be the CO2 detector. The big hole next to it.. no idea. I don't have a heater, thought maybe this would be the hole for it but there is no hole to the outside. Any ideas? Thank you.

There is probably no way of determining what was there before unless you can find a similar camper. If the edges on the large opening look clean (not a DIY hack job) maybe it was an access hole but the door is missing. Are there any loose wires behind the wall that would feed a CO2 alarm?

That could have just been a vent for providing air flow to your convertor on the oposite side.

Yeah your right, i may just fill in the hole and move on. As far as the CO2 detector I'm just going to look for a battery operated model and put it in.

The smaller hole looks about the right size to have been the propane detector.

Thank you all!

Thank you all for the responses. At this point I figured out that I have a water jug not a tank and no heater. I did find the original dectector hiding next to the converter. Under the bench seat opposite of the converter is a metal bar which looks like the grill or table would hook onto it, but the grill doesn't touch the ground, wondering if it has a different purpose?

Supports

It turns out that I only have one set of bed supports. Any idea where to get something like this? I've looked online and have come up empty.

Thank you for that site! I ordered them and now just waiting. I have yet another question. The fridge as I understand it can be precooled with propane and then I should switch it to DC when I'm towing it. Now do I have to hit the switch on the converter to have it draw power from the TV or will it just start drawing it when I switch it over? I'll have the converter switch to off in storage and it's not convenient to get to. Thanks!

What I usually do since my camper is always home is pre cool the frig on AC power, I tried once to switch over to DC and run off the battery for a three hour drive to the campground, when we arrived the battery was about dead. Now I just run it on propane while driving, keeps it nice and cold. Your TV does not put out enough power to keep the battery charged with a big draw like the frig running.

That makes sense. Something that popped into my head is that I'm using a 4 pin connection and I doubt my fridge or battery would draw from my TV.

You are correct the 4 pin does not supply power to the battery.

That rail is used to keep the stove from sliding around when towing.
