trailer wiring

I just purchased a 1993 8sd pop up . it has a 6 pole square plug on the tongue but does not have the harness that goes to the tow vehicle. the plug has 6 wires brown, yellow, green, white, black and red can anyone tell me where these wires go? this trailer does not have brakes. et does have a battery with no wires hooked to it and no wires I can find to hook to it. any help would be appreciated.

yellow. . . left turn
green. . . right turn
brown. . . running lights
white. . . ground
red. . . . . batt positive

not sure about the black wire.
hope this helps.

The 6th pin in the connector is for electric brakes. Since this trailer doesn't have electric brakes, no worries. Commonly blue or black wire color.

The 7th pin, on those fancy new round 7 pin connectors, is reverse lights.

The prudent thing to do is verify how your rig is wired. If you research trailer wiring on the net, there are many different color combos used. Better to know ahead of time.

Try the info on etrailer or the Tweetys site.
