Water leaks out of Tank

I have an 09 Jayco 1207. I usually fill the fresh water tank until it leaks from the outlet underneath behind the passenger side wheel. That outlet is at the top of the water tank and I believe it to be the overflow outlet.

When i drive, and more specifically when im parked on an unlevel surface, i lose much of my water out this outlet. Is there anything i can do to prevent this?

I had considered adding a length of tubing to the outlet and looping it so that a portion of it was above the tank itself but still draining directly down. I thought that would still allow overflow but then the height would stop splashing and tilting out.

The overflow tubes allow air to be vented out as air fills the tank.

Like a siphon, however, once water starts to draw out of it, if will drain water back out.

Lots of JOF members have added a shut off valve or cap on the end of the drain hose

How far does the hose hang down below the floor or tank? I pulled my hose up so it is just below the underside of the floor. The loop inside the HTT is probably 12+ inches above the floor, inside the pump cabinet. I do not have any issues with siphoning.

Very common problem for years in Jayco/StarCraft models.
Solution here (read the last 3-4 pages, the first several pages are people denying the problem actually exists...as you know, it does)

I added a length of 1/2 inch ID flexible tubing with a cap. Well see how it goes this week.
