water pump troubleshooting

Hello everyone.

I just bought a 2002 Eagle Summit, we've already been out and had a great time at Padre Island National Seashore!

I filled the onboard water tank, and my pump runs, but I get no water at any of the sink, shower, outdoor shower. Where should I start for troubleshooting? The manual doesn't cover much other than that it should work.

Also, now that we're back, and I have a tank full of water I never used, what's the best way to empty the tank?

On my TT, there is a valve between the fresh water tank and pump to isolate it from a city water hookup.
Is that valve open?

Yes, that valve is open. If I also open the winterizing valve, I can suck water up from the tank easily.

Hmm, at a loss for any other advice :-(
If you can't get the fresh water tank emptied right away, just dump 1/4 cup of chlorox down the fill tube and you'll be good until you get the problem fixed.

Best regards,
Doug

Look for low point drain under or near the tank,I've never had an RV that didn't have a drain on the fresh water tank.
does your pump reach presure and shut off or keep running?
Check the in side of the pump and see if you have water to it,if you do
Dissconnect the line from the pump and see if you get water when you turn it on for a second.
If you don't get water at that point you have a pump problem, if you do get water then there has to be a valve turned some where if you don't have water any where.
depending on the brand and model some can be rebuilt.

Thanks! The video helped enough to give me the confidence / don't care to take apart the pump. Didn't see anything wrong, put it back together and presto! Wish I'd thought of that at the beach.

Have you checked the anti freeze uptake hose? It should be near the pump. It's purpose is to draw antifreeze from a bucket or jug. There is a switch or lever near that hose which may be in a draw antifreeze position, allowing it to suck air. Flip the lever try your waters
