What tires do you use?

We have a recently acquired 2009 Jay Series 1007. It has Carlisle 5.3-12 load range C tires (x3). They all appear to be of different vintage. They don't appear to have the standard DOT date code on them.
I've read that some folks don't like the Carlisle tires.
What do you use?
What does Jayco put on from the factory?
Thanks in advance for the input.

try looking at the inner side of the tire. Date codes started in 2000 so should be somewhere.

No experience with Carlisle tires but check speed rating before buying. Lots are rated only to 65 when new. I didn't know that and blew several tires running at 70 plus towing my old popup.

I ordered Maxxis from the factory when we bought the Eagle and am very happy with them. Roughly 9k miles and they still look like new, I never have to adjust air pressure and they ride beautifully.

I had Tow Max on the White Hawk and didn't have any trouble with those either, but based on the grief others have had I wouldn't recommend them.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Checked both sides, only have letter codes. Assuming they are old and need to be replaced.

I have a few questions about 12" pop-up tires.

Are Maxxis tires made in America?

Are they made in the 12" size?

Where are they generally available?

Thanks - Jerry

For 5.30x12 load C, I've seen Carlisle, Kenda, Tow Max & Loadstar. With prices ranging from $23 - $40+

I think I'm going to go with Kenda from Recstuff.com. I've had good luck with Kenda bicycle tires.
