Colin & Ann: Here are few other ideas I use:
1. Separate out the manuals that you most likely might need to have handy (The Jayco, Ford, radio manuals, refrigerator, gennie, levelers, water heater etc) and keep in a large Ziplock in the thin cabinet above the drivers side. I put the others in a container in one of the basements just to have, in case.
2. Keep a clipboard handy with the key info about your coach: VIN,
Emergency Phone #s such as Coachnet, Jayco CS, dealer; rig ht, wt, etc. As a newbie, I wanted to have key info easily available.
3. Checklist! I have a checklist for prep, departure, arrival at the cg, departure from the cg etc, (incl. the tow). As time goes on, I don't need to follow the list exactly, but I always check it before moving the coach.
4. I also keep an ongoing list of resources (using
Evernote) so when I come across something 2 use on the forum or elsewhere, I save it for later.
Hope this helps!
