I was driving down 55 near Springfield, IL today, when the darn-est thing I ever saw happened. It was raining hard and my windshield wipers were doing a good job, when suddenly the driver's side blade jumped off the windshield. I didn't know what happened so I turned off the wipers, hit my hazard warning button and gradually pulled over to side of the road. It was a lucky thing that there was a big shoulder there. I got out and looked at the blade and the arm and reapplied the blade to the arm. My wife turned the wipers on and off a couple of times while I stood there waiting to grab it if it fell off again. All was well after that. We are guessing the windshield solvent tube sticks out quite a bit and may have caught the edge of the blade and flipped it off the arm. I fixed the tub so it was out of the way. Take a look at yours next chance you get.
