We learned about Door County, WI last year from a fellow RVer so we took their advice and spent a week at Hy-Land Court RV Park between Sister Bay and Ellison Bay.
We were hooked and decided to return in 2016 for a month.
We decided to make the trek in 2 days so we stayed at Amana (IA) Colonies RV campground. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Amana which is a Passport America host @ $19.26. Grassy fields surrounded by corn fields and baying cows.......real country. Pullthrus and 50A made for convenient hookups and leaving the Jeep hooked allowed for a quicker departure after a good nights sleep.
Nights in the low 60s most of the time and days in the upper 70s to mid 80s Door County is sooooo relaxing
This beautiful peninsula and many nearby islands has a wonderful history that we enjoy exploring. The western shores host the waters of Green Bay and the eastern shores have Lake Michigan waters lapping at the banks.
More later............
