Picture 3 of 10 from Album Tri-Metric 2025-RV installation
This is my battery bank (4-6 volt golf cart batteries).

The positive post is closest to us in the picture. My in-line 1 amp fuse came with a yellow wire that I spliced to a (unseen) red 16 AWG wire that I then ran inside the cubby and splice to the red 22 AWG wire that runs to the meter. The other smaller gauge wires are the positive wires running into the trailer home and the electric tongue jack.

The next post over (propane connector close to it) has the only negative wire running into the home and connected to the shunt. It is a standard 2 AWG battery cable.

The other cables you see are connecting the bank in a series-parallel configuration to make up a 12-volt system. Each battery is 220 amp hours, four together in series-parallel equals a 440 amp hour bank.
