We stayed in Horse Thief Campground. Really nice. I wish we were still there.

We saw Horse Thief but ended up staying at Rafter Bar J Campground. Excellent place with a nice pool and central to all the attractions. We rented a car from Black Hills Auto Rental for 3 days while we were there. They delivered the car to us at the park and when we were finished we just left the car there and they retrieved it. A very handy service. Highly recommended

There were certainly some challenges getting the rig into the campground. It was small and looks really geared toward smaller RV's and tent campers. Our friends traveling with us had a terrible getting into their site with there 20ft bumper pull. We'll head back in another 4 years and we'll check out Rafter J.
