- I am a retired equipment mechanic. A couple of years ago, we moved up to the Jayco from a pop-up. The family has camped since the mid 80's in one form or another. My wife and I even camped out of the back of our pickup for a few years. The children are all married and have continued to camp. In fact a lot of our trips are together which is great.
