10-13-2016 09:44 AMStonemanWe just got home after putting 4,700 miles on it since purchase on September 16th. We have stayed in it for about 25 nights so far and have had zero issues. The diesel with the freightliner chassis is a pleasure to drive. Mileage is averaging 11.1 mpg with the toad. Mountain passes were quiet and uneventful except for the snow storm approaching the continental divide in Montana. The quiet ride and handling of the coach is amazing, we love it. Hope all is well, keep us posted on your decision.

1 last thing, you have probably seen the thread on the 2016 chassis having a 6 speed tranny. That is a huge upgrade. Our 2015 Bertha had a 2014 chassis and 2013 tires. It's the little details that make a difference.
Read these 3 posts in reverse order. That may make some difference....:LOL
These threads only allow 1000 characters per post and I am way to wordy to fit in to 1 post what I have to say............again LOL
I'll be happy to give you some help on the "driving a bigger rig".
Enjoy

02-05-2016 10:43 AMD&MAKAFUNWe know how excited you are about receiving your 31 UL and rightfully so.
Are you experienced RVers? Have you had motorized RVs before? Do you know what the PDI (Pre-delivery Inspection)is? Are you buying from a dealer you have a history with? Do you have experience driving a large vehicle?
The reason I ask is there is a tremendous amount of education that goes along with one of these things. The Precept forums have been a tremendous boost to our knowledge and the exchanges have expanded our horizons. A few Precept owners met at the Jayco Rally in IA last August. We had met on the forum and had a blast getting to know each other in person. It's really a very kool way of meeting people from all walks of life and experiences.......all of us have a common goal: relax, enjoy this wonderful USA by RV, eat delicious CG prepped meals and meet the most interesting people. -
02-05-2016 10:42 AMD&MAKAFUNGood morning Rick and Karen. Yep, we know exactly where Troy is. We live in Kansas City, MO north. That is north of the MO river. We are actually just 5 miles west of Liberty, MO.....see I-35 north out of KC MO.
We have had "Bertha" since June, 2014. She was the 2nd 31UL off the line for 2015 and Jayco has made some improvements/upgrades since we purchased.
Our camping experiences have broadened out since we bought Bertha. We now camp in state parks, county parks and will be in national parks. Corp of Engineer parks have been a wonderful find for us, although they have been there all this time. The 32' length of Bertha and the comfortable maneuverabitlity of her, gives us the opportunity to "fit" in where we couldn't with our 5er.
We started RVing in 2005 with a 31' TT, 2011 moved into a 5th wheel toy hauler and now Bertha.
Stay excited...........

12-28-2015 02:15 PMdoylera1Hi everyone, New to this group. Just inked a deal on a 31UL to pick up in January or February from RVOne in Tampa, FL
After reading posts on this group I am very encouraged at the help that everyone is willing to offer. Just like the nice people I have met along the way on our limited outings.
We purchased a Winnebago Trend 23B in September and use 24 nights out of the first 48 we owned it. Needed to take that little pill at night to make it bigger. Turned out to be to small for us so we traded it in the Precept. Excited and eager to try it out. Now if I could just learn how to drive a big RV. That part is going to be interesting after having the smallish 23B.
Feeling very happy and a bit intimidated at the same time.
