- Not much to say, single Dad raise 5 kids on my own. Have camped all my life. Started in the early 60's. My parents first camper was a pop-up from Montgomery Wards ( it was an empty box with two wing beds that folded out) not like the new ones. I started out on my own with tents, then to a travel trailer, and finally the Jayco.
