Yes it does use the rails, like I said the bars lock in the control towers, the control towers lock into the landing pads which are mounted to the rails already on your camper

This system does not utilize the existing rails on your 2010 camper and must be drilled and bolted down

The prices above seem fair, it's not a cheap setup, but nothing Yakima makes is cheap

The landing pads mount to the rails attached to the camper and the control towers lock into the landing pads
