Are you sure you filled the heater, and it’s not on bypass? As stated above, that will kill the element quickly. They are generic, and can be replaced at almost any hardware store for under $10.

Many things run only on 12V. If the battery is disconnected and not acting as a buffer, your converter is getting punished. It will shorten the life of your converter.

Moving blankets, tarp, kayaks, bungees. Then stuff the sleeping bags around them to stop movement....

Same. It’s so much easier than having the wife yelling directions. I can usually find a dead level side to side spot on the site, and then front to back is just waiting for it to turn green.
