Might be an easy solution. Seems like the nut is down in framing members. Dumb design for sure.

My Hickory Springs step is loose on one side. When I tried to tighten the nut, I found the bolt turned. I can't seem to figure out where the bolt head is. The factory said to remove the transom plate...
