They tell you that because they make a lot of money on the chemicals.

We don't use the chemicals, we use dry laundry soap and tank flush on dumping. We camp ALOT (60 days last year).

I'd level the unit or park somewhere else. That's just my opinion as I have always avoided opening the slide on a severe angle so I have no direct (good or bad) experience.
