An even easier way to do it is to stop by a truck tire shop in the area and see if they would torque it for you. They have 5' torque wrenches that go to 1000lbft. so 250# shouldn't be a big problem....

This is great advice. I do have a stud finder and will take my time. I second the toggle bolts. I agree that I don't like the larger holes, but once it's there, it's there.
