So I just had the same issue with my window. I was able to fix it by carefully pinching the black wheels ever so carefully so I could get them back on the tracks. Called Jayco and they were useless...

My thought is it's back there so if you need to dink around with your connections at night, you have a shred of light, although that may be a stretch. Thanks for the fridge note...I had no idea.

I was on the fence. The pricing (at the time) was about 500 apart from the 14 to the 15 and I liked the windows better plus I thought the darker colors would hide more dirt.
