Interesting. It does seem to need to be plugged into a router. The only way I can think of is finding one that works with bluetooth and leaving a phone behind.

I had a similar issue with mine the other day. I think the problem was I retracted it too far. I cranked it down a turn or two and then it worked fine the rest of the way.

We have a 4 inch gel infused memory foam topper, which stays cooler in the summer than regular memory foam. Cut it to fit with an electric knife. It was about $130 on Amazon for the queen size.
