We never had sway or a problem from our Equalizer 4 pt hitch. I used it with our 2011 F150 with Ecoboost, 6.5' bed, 4x4, Lariat. Don't remember if it had 3.55 or 3.73 gearing.

I upgraded last year from a 2011 F150 Supercrew 6.5' bed with an Ecoboost to a 2015 Ram 2500 MegaCab with 6.4 Hemi and 4.10 gearing. Much more stable and handles the load without blinking!!
