Just noticed you asked about unhooking. I have a Reese 16k Pro Series hitch and sometimes have difficulty getting it to unlatch. A little jiggling usually takes care of it. Only happened a few times.

Don't know about factory rallies, but Jayco does offer factory tours. We did that last year and enjoyed the tour. All the Jayco folks we met while there were very nice.
