I was told the same thing by Jayco. Shade Pro came to my house and installed them with no problems whatsoever.

Step Problem

Step fuse location on Greyhawk 31DS

I had a problem with my step and discovered Jayco put a fuse in the fuse holder which was too small to handle the load. The fuse holder is behind the house battery and should be a 7.5 amp fuse.

I was told by Jayco that I could not add them to...

I was told by Jayco that I could not add them to my Greyhawk 31DS for the same reason, but Carefree installed them on mine with no problems whatsoever.
