I'm no expert, but why did you get the 1200/12,000 hitch instead of the 1000/10,000? Maybe its too stiff.

Best price I could find on an Equalizer hitch plus ball was about $525. I made a deal with CW to sell and install for $700. Worth it to me, even if it only takes them an hour.
