Remember if you "delete" the emissions equipment and go to a Freightliner dealer (for work other than engine repairs)or a Cummins shop, they cannot LEGALLY let the vehicle leave until the emissions...

The M2 has been Freightliners medium duty cab since 2004. About the only difference is they don't offer the Mercedes engine anymore

If it is fiberglass, just place it close to the roof on the inside of the camper. The antenna will get the signal through fiberglass. This what I did in my semi.
