I think SparkDr your right about the sharkbites, I have used them before but was not sure if they could be used on pex. Looks like a trip back to HD and some Sharkbites.

Yes it is an after market bracket made out of Aluminum and yes holds the safety chains and 7 pin connector

I did put screw holes in when I did install the magnetic catches. I did fill the holes with Silcone and put some on back of magnet, also around the edges.
