Milage vs enjoyment

We're looking at trading our 07' Pleasureway Plateau for a Jayco 29MV. Milage difference is 24.6(diesel) vs 9 (Ford) with the 29MV. Should I get hung up on that or just enjoy the new upgrade....

Looking at the 29MV

Presently we have a 2007 Pleasureway Plateau diesel. Getting about 24 to the gallon. Should i even worry about milage or concentrate on the upgrade? How is towing a car? Thanks
