I have fixed several peoples furnace by just installing either 3 or 4 inch elbows between the furnaces and the flex. It lets the air flow better and therefore the furnace can get rid of heat.

Check to see if your Over the air antenna amplifier was on, had same experience, turned off amplifier and he picture
