fantastic fan mods
I deleted the gearbox operation from the thermostat, too noisy, woke me up when it opened and closed, removed the ckt board, rewired the fan so it comes on with the cover open goes off with it...

What I've learned from owning a 1999 E450 V10
This is all related to a Jayco Eagle 283G on a e450 v10 chassis.
Use 5-20w oil or the engine will have timing knock and use oil. Low tension rings is the reason the oil weight has to be kept low....

mine works the same as yours
I'm a ac/heating person also. I think the orifice size is too large for the air over the heat exchanger. Maybe with no duct there would be enough air flow across is to keep it from getting too hot...

I have never worked with pex, the 1/2 id is 5/8 od, I figured it all out. Ace sells the pex tool for $120.00 and they have a very liberal return policy. 10 crimps, 4 90's and 2 adapters got it all...

I'm also a ac contractor ( 24 years here in Texas) all the RV ac units I have worked on with manual controls in the overhead section have no low voltage power. Most have a 2 speed fan motor also....
