Sounds like your compressor is trying to start but then shuts off on overload/amp switch. Others are correct in that you should try and remove some additional electrical loads off your 30amp supply....

Made a medicine cabinet

Just tap and push on the wall, you will feel where the studs are. My studs were approximately 19" apart on the back wall. Used four 2-1/2" long wood screws to fasten to the wall.
