Don't the newer Jaycos have the hydraulic cylinder lifters? Our 2011 does and it is actually pretty easy to open and access.

I have been using New Finish which is an Acrylic sealed (not a wax) and it seems to be working. Easy to apply and fairly cheap.

We have a 2011 Jay Feather Select 242 with the Aluminium wheels. It presently has GY Marathons 205/75/14 on it, which are load range C. I read you should be under your GVWR by 20% with your tires....
