I can say that 2 years ago in July we were in Mesquite NV. It was 112 degrees and our one ac unit wouldn’t do anything! It couldn’t cool after 8:00am until after midnight.

Actually they are different in application only....

Actually they are different in application only. On your furnace at home the high limit detects overheating in the heat exchanger. The roll out switch detects flames that roll out of the burners....
