I got mine at Campers Barn in Kingston NY also. Only had one issue when my house battery went dead after about 3 months. Brought it back and they swapped it out no problem.

I'm a diesel guy but with the fuel prices now and all the emission stuff on the diesels, has really brought their mileage down. A good alternative is the new Ford F150 with the Eco- boost motor....

You are right, the ladders aren't the sturdiest things. But I have on occasion needed to get on the roof while camping, and found myself parking my truck next to the trailer and climbing on the truck...

I mounted the ladder on the Jayco. I called Jayco and had them fax me the blueprints of the rear wall. It was a fairly easy job, but jayco said that I would be voiding the warranty of my rear wall....
