Fan actually pulls air from fins and blows...

Fan actually pulls air from fins and blows forward. So it's drawing air from teh fins.
You could cover it with 2 units which would eliminate the need for movements. I have not seen the 3 fan setup...

I did the muffin fans on the metal grills mod...

I did the muffin fans on the metal grills mod inside the fridge. Helps with frost and air circulation for sure. Got it on Ebay for about 14 bucks and ran the wire out the drain tube to pick up 12V....
