Installing Camco Quickie Flush on 25BHS

Hi all,

I'm looking at installing a black tank flush/rinser on my brand new 25BHS. I've looked at the Tornado (rotating) and Quickie Flush (static) devices and am leaning towards the Quickie Flush since it has better reviews and no moving parts which can fail.

I was wondering if anyone has done this before on this trailer (both devices are very similar and install in a similar way)?

What are the steps to remove the underbelly seal?

Where about on the tank did you install the flush/rinser?

Any other advice?

Thanks
EnricoG

Welcome to the JOF, EnricoG!

I have one sitting in my "things to do" box but I haven't installed it yet. Maybe soon... in the meantime, you could read the reviews on Amazon to see what others might have to say.

I use one of these. 7 bux at walmart and does a great job cleaning stinky tanks!

The bad thing is, the sensors in my black tank are junk and the level always shows 1/3 to 2/3rd full when empty.

Hi Quahog,
thanks! Indeed, Amazon is where I read the reviews and why I decided on the Quickie Flush rather than the Tornado. I was just wondering if the installation is something I can do relatively easily or whether it's best to let the dealer do it. I've never opened a sealed underbelly before.

I did a Tornado install on my last TT (not a Jayco). Mine didn't have an enclosed underbelly so I didn't need to worry about that. What I did need to do however was remove the toilet and the supports for the holding tank. I needed to lower the tank to get the Tornado installed. Entire install was probably about an hour, and again I didn't have the enclosed underbelly. There's another thread on here about removing the underbelly which is some screws and marking things properly for easier installation.

It was one of the best mods that I ever did.

I installed the quickie flush on my 26bh with no issues. I don't have covered tanks, but I think if you opened a 12"x12" area that would be enough to work in. Then just use some 1x2 strips as backing and screw the access panel back in place. Mine is installed on the back center wall approx 2" from the top, just as the directions say. Total install took 1hr, hardest part was finding the best spot for the water input valve.

Thanks all, I've decided to get it installed by the (Jayco approved) dealer/service center. It will be expensive, but I figure if I do it myself I may lose the warranty. My TT is brand new.

I wouldnt think your warranty would be voided over something like this. The product is pretty much designed for a DIY job.

Got it done, it cost me $100 so it wasn't as bad as I thought and I can sleep soundly knowing that if the black tank ever leaks I can point the finger at the dealer.
