26BH - How do you remove the window screens?

I decided to add window tint. No problem in removing the screen from the exit windows. When I got to the sliding windows, I can't determine how to remove the screens without risking breaking the plastic runner the window screen slides in. I know this is easy, I just can't figure it out. Any help will be appreciated.

If my memory serves me right, and depending on the size of the slider window, either push up or push to the side (with your fingers) the inner screen frame to release it from the opposite window frame valley. I believe there are little pressure tabs/clips holding the screen in place within the frame.

I just cleaned (took them out) my screens a couple of months ago and already forgot how I got them out

Your right that its easy to do....., but also easy to forget!

Larry,

Your right...., and it will be the first thing I look at when I pull my TT out of storage for the next camping trip! They say you should write things down as you get older, but this is ridiculous!

Build a bridge and get over it, Bob. If I don't write things down immediately, I'll forget them a minute later (on a good day!).

Can anyone confirm if my initial response to the OP's question is anywhere near being correct?

OK...Ok...hello....you guys with me Poor Lady F. is floating away....

Anyway - I have never tried to remove my screens, just slid them back and forth. I cant recall ever trying to get them out. My best guess is they would flex a little bit and could be popped out using some type of small plastic tool so as not to mar the surface.

tafische had the idea! Finally got the sreens (Cleer Vision windows) to slide out by opening the sliding window, then moving the screen by sliding it out
(radius end). There is enough flex in the end of the screen frame, by pulling from the middle of the radius end, and sliding it out. There are no springs, nor clips holding the screen. It's a tight fit, and harder to get back in than it is to get it out.

What is a "radius end"?

The tint job went well.

For lack of a better term, I called the end of the screen with the rounded corners the "radius end". The other end of the sliding screen has squared ends.

We had fixed up the windows screens one year before while we are admitting into the flat, But not tried to remove them till now. We have a big problem with the pets and insects and so we won't remove them any time.
